Starry, starry night. Saturday, 012707

Filed under: Friends. XD, blahs., happenings., outings., school. yeah right. — marz ^_^ @ 9:10.02 pm

Well, almost.

Yesterday AND today (early morning) was fun. Really fun. Hehe. Let me share what happened.

We had our play yesterday. Before the play, I was nervous because Sir Joey challenged us. Not only that, there were LOADS of people watching. *grade seven comes to mind* Grah. Really.

Watched Topaz’ play first and I really didn’t get it, apart from it being highly political and insane (there was this scientist wearing a pink nightgown AND said scientist was supposed to be a guy). I honestly think they were trying to be funny, but hey, it wasn’t bad.

It was our turn next. It’s either we make it or break it. Why? Part of our English grade was the play. But nevermind, we did had fun. And in the end, those rehearsals (except probably the one at Joe’s lola’s house) were worth it.

Because we could hear applause right after every scene.

It was one of the best things I’ve ever heard, and it gave me encouragement to do my best. It was like ecstasy heroin to an addict, ’twas like fuel to a car that’s running low. Yeah, I loved the audience. Thank you so much. Your applause, well, it made us high. :D

And TJ, you are so marvelous. The audience loved you. Damn, you were really, really GOOD. No, wait, that’s an understatement. I can’t describe your acting, really, because Loki ROCKED the house. Especially that synch thing with Elvis. OMG I can’t believe you guys perfected it on the day itself! OMG.

Cam, you were so damn good too. :D

It was ownage. Sheer ownage. I love you, Garnet. :D I’m gonna miss the practices at Cam’s house. *sighs*

Opal presented last. Although really, I didn’t get theirs, probably because it involved time machines and, well, Sir Joey was right. Time machines aren’t really suited for plays. But their backdrops were good. :D

After that, Sir Joey congratulated us for a job well done, and we went to the caf for our, uhm, “play practice” (emphasis on the double quotation marks). Right, Garnet? :P

Then we went to the gym for the closing ceremony thingy. And then we ate. And hung out by the area near the creek. Which is where we met Oscar (malas, we were supposed to go there at midnight!).

And then, clean up. And waited for 4 pm because we had to set up our tents. Yeah. I think my knee cap got dislocated, thanks to carrying too many bags. My knee still hurts like hell.

And with that, we started with our batch stargazing activity. Yeah. I so love stars. Although we didn’t get to see much, thanks to Quezon City’s really polluted air. And finally, one item from my list of things to do before I die is crossed out. Wait, two items, actually: Go stargazing and stay awake for at least 24 hours straight. Kewl.

And I lost my voice. Crap. Now, I sound like a guy. Shoot.

We also watched a few movies along the way (October Sky and Hercules) and a documentary (but I was in my tent that time, being emo as usual). And listened to lectures. And we were made to lie down on the field and just look at the stars. I loved that part. *Lightyears by Eheads comes to mind* Cool, I got to see Saturn with my naked eyes AND with a telescope. :D *Saturn Return by Eheads comes to mind all of a sudden*

In the words of Izo, “Walang tulugan.”

I love stargazing. *goes out and looks at the night sky*

Mid-YMSAT Post. Wednesday, 012407

And yes, today was really really fun, m’deah.

Because in the end, water guns are our best allies.

Yes, dear friends, we had a water gun fight. And not just any fight, mind you.

It was an all-out war. Against the opposite sex. I know, I know, it was a misguided battle of the sexes. :p

Bring out the water pistols, baby. And load up on ammo. Be prepared, there’s a plan on the way. I’m dead serious.

Okay. Bored now. Just having a confe. :p

More stories tomorrrow, I guess. Bye EDIT: Now, stories???

Well, let’s just say that my back was soaking wet. Really, really wet. *sarcastic tone* Thanks a lot, Elvis. And you had to write your name on my back too, plus *bleep*’s name. Really now.  But thanks for giving me an opportunity to wear my oh-so cool pink England soccer shirt. Yeah.

Stargazing tomorrow. And Miss Anthropy. I wanna break both legs, because we’re gonna need ‘em. And pray that the stars will shine brightly. Or else Sir Angeles will kill us. I think.

And I need to load up on ammo again. Plus some “hand granades”. Do not fear, they aren’t real granades. They’re just water balloons. Really.

I might may ‘fess up. About stuff.

Viva La Vie Boheme! Saturday, 011307

Filed under: Friends. XD, blahs., happenings., outings., school. yeah right. — marz ^_^ @ 10:30.08 pm

And so I shall start my blog entry with those 4 words. Why? Well, I’ll explain it later. :P

We had to go to Cam’s house AGAIN to practice for our English play. And though I would love to give some information about it, I’d rather not spoil it. Just watch Miss Antrophy on January 26 to find out. :D

So, anyway, I woke up at 7 since we had to pick up Isabel at Pisay. But we didn’t have paint and we needed it for our backdrop so Dad ended up buying them and we picked up Isabel quite late. Sorry about that, but at least the reason’s valid. THE BACKDROP WAS FOR THE PLAY, YOU KNOW!

We then went straight to Cam’s house and when we arrived, they were watching Lake House. I really didn’t understand it that much, since I’m not really into those kinds of flicks and also owing to the fact that we were only able to watch the ending. :P

We decided to watch Rent after that. I LOVE RENT! Yeah, sure, it’s about drag queens and AIDS but really, it is SO, uh, real. I do NOT want to spoil it, of course, but let’s just say that it almost made me cry. Basta. Mark Cohen is my favorite character among the 8 because, well, it’s up to you to find out why. :D

In the middle of watching Rent, Joe texted that he was LOST in Filinvest 2. Stupid, Cam’s house isn’t there! Hehe. According to him, he ended up exploring Filinvest 2 before going to Cam’s. LOL, Alvin almost told him (thru text) that he has to go to Ada’s house, knock on every door, ask if Ada’s there and if not, ask for directions to Cam’s house. O_o

A few minutes later and Joe arrived. Not long after, Elvis arrived too and set up his laptop, making the boys stop watching Rent and leaving us girls (Alvin included) to finish it. Which I didn’t regret, considering how beautiful the movie was. I wanna watch the musical. :)

We had lunch a few minutes later (Pata Tim) and we also saw the dogs. :D LOL, Skittles (one of the dogs, the small one) kept on running around in circles, you’d think he/she (I don’t know the gender, sorry) would create a tornado. =)) Yeah, seriously. Then we went back to watching Rent (yes, it took THAT long) and after watching, I suddenly wanted a hug. Not from anyone in particular, of course, I just wanted a hug from any of my friends. :P

After that, we started practicing. Alvin, John-John and Ada did the backdrop while the rest of us practiced our lines and the cues for the BGMs. Oh, and we also uhm, fooled around with YM. Like, Alvin was using Joe’s YM account on Cam’s laptop, Joe was using Isabel’s YM and I was using Elvis’. :) ) We actually uhm, tortured Conrad’s sanity and sent him the same message at the same time, on Joe’s cue. :) )

Some of the scenes were EXTREMELY hilarious. Like this:

ada: it’s all your fault. you made her looney!
johnjohn: no, he’s the dumdum!
alvin: i’m not the dumdum!

And this:

johnjohn: it’s the screw kasi.

Plus this:

alvin: we are stuck with you all this time!

This:

Camilla: I shouldn’t trust anyone at this point. -meaningful glance at prof- Except you of course, Professor Blake. -hands the device over to the professor- Here, I need to lock the doors -takes pringles from elvis’ hand and leaves the stage-

THIS:

ada: you shouldn’t have touched the continuoum transfunctioner

AND THIS!

ada: mom, it’s done!
camilla: thank you daddy! as of now you’re all fired! go to your room, you are the weakest link!

Seriously, we were laughing our asses off. Some were due to Joe, uhm, talking to himself (and he ended up being stepped on by Ada, literally, and being kicked by me too). Some were just plain ewans… :) )

By this time, we had practiced all the scenes already and may I say, I think our play’s quite good. Hehe. Unfortunately, TJ, Alvin and John-John had to leave already so we decided to watch yet another movie instead. We debated if we should watch The Producers or Date Movie and we ended up watching the latter.

Unfortunately, Isabel, Joe and I didn’t get to finish it since we had to go home. The original plan was Isabel and I were supposed to be picked up by my dad at Cam’s place but something rather unfortunate happened and he said he couldn’t pick me up so we ended up hitching a ride from Joe on the way to Pisay. THANK YOU SO MUCH, JOE. I really do owe you a big favor this time. :) )

Arrived in Pisay a few minutes later and OMG, FINALLY! There were loads and loads of stars, which are rare in a place like Manila. AWWW. I love stars so much. Dad picked me up after quite a while and yeah, I went home. Now, I’m typing away this on my computer. :) )

I wanna do that again. Next week? Naaah, we ought to be more serious by that time.

Not The Usual, Yet Still The Same. Wednesday, 122706

Filed under: blahs., family., happenings., outings. — marz ^_^ @ 10:18.04 pm

This year’s Christmas was both traditional and uhm, not my typical Christmas celebration. Traditional as in we go to the province for Christmas. Traditional because we did the usual videoke and stuff. And yet, it’s not my typical Christmas because for the first time, I wasn’t excited. I guess that’s the effect of growing up. I wasn’t really expecting that much.

All I can say is that this was one of the coldest emo-est Christmases I ever had. Real reason later. Well, not really, Kaye’s message made me really happy and at the same time made me cry. Aww, I miss her SO much. Love you, Kaye! Too bad that we didn’t see each other during the MCHS fair. I’ll post her message to me here later, when my phone’s fully charged already. Yes, I have to share it to you guys, since I was REALLY touched by it. *tear rolls down her face*

I didn’t get that much gifts this Christmas, though I don’t really care. I don’t. Though I was a bit mortified when I got a towel (it’s pink, if you won’t mind) from my Ninang. Hehe. Inside joke. Right, Joe? *winks*

And ZOMG, I got a Team Manila bag! *sighs* I love Team Manila’s designs, they’re so kewl! Hmm, what else? Got some money, got this book (Fermat’s Last Theorem = xn + yn =! zn, =! means not equal to) and got loads of bags. O_O I honestly don’t know why I got a lot of bags. LOL People still give me kiddie stuff too. Hello Kitty? Mickey Mouse? Are they kidding me? I’m fine with SpongeBob (though I didn’t get any Spongebob item) but hey, I’m 14, not 4!

I also didn’t eat that much, particularly because uhm, I wasn’t in the mood to eat. I didn’t socialize that much either: in fact, I was sleeping most of the time, probably because of the exhausting trip. Yes, I’m bad, I didn’t talk that much to my cousins. Not even to those my age. -__-

Team Manila <3. LOL.

I’m willing to bet that I’m getting books next year, since I couldn’t stop reading (and sleeping) while I was there. :) I have to read some chapters of Noli again, though. :P And yes, I mean AGAIN. I read some just before Christmas but somehow, they got erased in my mind.

Now I hope my mom doesn’t forget to buy me that USB Flash Drive she promised me after I was forced to sing. YES. I WAS FORCED, DAMN. Hey, I didn’t want to sing but I want that USB so badly so I guess what happened next is totally predictable.

Now, for the emo part. Yes, this Christmas was indeed cold.
