Stats aren’t working on YM. GRAH. That’s where I release all my emoness, you know, apart from this asshole blog. So I read some of my books instead.

I’ve been reading this book lately, the title’s The Supernaturalist. It’s by Eoin Colfer, the same guy who wrote the Artemis Fowl series. I was actually supposed to buy the Artemis Fowl series, but when I checked at the bookstore, it was out of stock. So yeah, I ended up buying that book.

The story is about a 14 year old orphan named Cosmo Hill. He’s in an orphanage (duh) named Clarissa Frayne. In that orphanage, the children are being treated like guinea pigs, being used for experiments ranging from antiperspirants to processed food. Cosmo realizes that the orphanage is killing him, and that he must get out before he’s dead.

One day, he finally has the opportunity to escape. He seizes the moment and escapes, and he meets the Supernaturalists, a group of kids who can see supernatural creatures called Parasites. Cosmo shares their ability and ends up with them.

But an incident occurs and their lives are changed forever.

I really can’t say much about what happens for fear of spoiling it for you. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed reading the book and it’s a wonderful read. Eoin Colfer has the amazing talent of making you LOVE the characters in the story and his characters are so real. That’s what I like in a writer, a writer who makes characters that are believable.

Anyway, I really suggest that you read it yourself.

maaarz signing out.
